Netflix has been working on a documentary about WWE CEO Vince McMahon for quite some time. The project has been highly anticipated by fans as well as those with an interest in the eccentric billionaire’s life story. In the wake of McMahon’s recent sex scandal, the streaming giant may think about reconsidering.

The premise of the Netflix documentary about Vince McMahon is to tell the story of his battle in the 90s with the media, the Department of Justice, and generally to paint a positive picture. Given what has happened, it would be ill-advised to run with that angle. The situation is now a tough one, as Netflix must decide on the future of the project.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about the future of the Netflix Vince McMahon documentary. Vince was set to be portrayed as a hero. After being accused of paying hush money to cover up an affair with an employee, that portrayal becomes nearly impossible.

Netflix may end up scrapping the project altogether. To bring it up to date, some serious changes would have to be made. Time will tell what becomes of the Vince McMahon documentary, but its future is certainly in question.
