After the fallout from All Out, AEW have been holding more talent meetings in order to restore locker room harmony, with another having reportedly taken place before Grand Slam 2022 on September 21.
According to AEW sources who spoke with Fightful Select, this latest meeting was said to have been ‘very positive’ and geed up the talent before the show, with the recent meetings after All Out having apparently resonated well with the AEW roster.
An unnamed ‘longtime’ AEW talent revealed to Fightful that the atmosphere has felt way more laid back than the weeks leading up to All Out, with the locker-room atmosphere around the last three AEW TV tapings said to have been the ‘best it’s been in quite a while’.
Interestingly, the report states a source said the term ‘addition by subtraction’ was used although what that means is unclear. It could be argued this means the atmosphere is positive because of the lack of CM Punk and Ace Steel, or because of the absence of The Young Bucks, or both, or possibly something different entirely.
