– WWE made a move last month relieving Jeff Jarrett of his duties as SVP of Live Events and almost immediately replacing him in the same role with Brian “Road Dogg” James. According to the Observer Newsletter, bringing in Jarrett was a move initiated by Bruce Prichard who made the recommendation to former CEO, Vince McMahon.
- Prichard’s future under the new regime has been a topic of interest as he’s not one of Paul Levesque’s “guys” but the Observer notes that he understands his role to support whatever vision Levesque wants. It is believed that Prichard shared Vince McMahon’s idea of the entertainment side while Levesque is more in favor of wrestling.
- Prichard’s current role is that of Executive Director of both Raw and Smackdown and he temporarily also oversaw Talent Relations earlier this summer before Levesque came into power and currently is involved only on the creative side of the product. He took over leading Smackdown from Eric Bischoff in the fall of 2019 and then added Raw to his list of responsibilities less than a year later, replacing Paul Heyman. At one point, it was believed Prichard was the second most influential person in WWE behind only Vince McMahon.
