Friday Night SmackDown Quick Recap for September 2, 2022

Matches Tonight: Five (approx. 39 minutes)
  • Viking Rules Match: the Viking Raiders vs the New Day. The Viking Raiders won the match after putting Kofi through a pair of double-stacked tables. 8:03-8:25pm EST.
  • SmackDown Debut Singles Match: Karrion Kross w/ Scarlett vs Drew Gulak. Perhaps 90 seconds; Karrion Kross won with the Kross-Jacket. Scarlett did accompany him out like NXT days,but Kross has hair and not much of a beard (for those who haven’t seen him since NXT days). 8:44-8:46pm EST.
  • Tag Team Match: Hit Row vs Maximum Male Models. Hit Row won and were attacked by Los Lotharios post-match. The Street Profits would make the save for Hit Row post-match. 9:06-9:10pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Happy Corbin vs Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura picked up the win after a super short match. 9:20-9:22pm EST.
  • Singles Main Event Match: Butch w/ the Brawling Brutes vs Ludwig Kaiser w/ Intercontinental Champion Gunther. Butch picked up the win. 9:32-9:41pm EST.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
  • Ronda Rousey’s “Final Judgment”: Rousey paid her fines and had her suspension lifted. She then had a verbal altercation with WWE Official Adam Pearce and he found his way into an arm bar before cutting a heel promo on her. 9:13-pm EST.
  • WWE Clash at the Castle: it’s Saturday afternoon, 1pm EST/10am PST!
  • NXT Worlds Collide: it’s Sunday afternoon!
